Just Mortgages becomes top firm at Openwork

Just Mortgages has become the top firm in Openwork.

Just Mortgages, which joined the Openwork network two years ago, topped the list for overall firm for mortgage business, as well as general insurance and protection for both sales and commission.

This comes as Just Mortgages increased the number of brokers in its firm from 120 to 230 during that time, and even wrote £1.6bn worth of lending last year.

Antony Lark, managing director of Just Mortgages, said: "We are over the moon to be the top firm within Openwork, not only in the mortgage category, but also outperforming all other advice firms.

"We have worked really hard to create an environment that brokers want to be a part of, while also creating a culture where best advice for the borrower is at the heart of everything that we do. For this to be recognised is outstanding."

Just Mortgages operates throughout the UK, selling mortgages and protection.

The firm's 150 mortgage professionals and protection specialists offer independent mortgage advice as well as a range of other financial solutions.

During the time it has been with Openwork, Just Mortgages has also launched a self-employed division, to cater to brokers who want to run their own businesses, but still in an environment where they can receive training and support.

Just Mortgages also launched a customer services division, which has helped to increase the proportion of remortgages to more than 30 per cent of total business.

John Phillips, group operations director of Just Mortgages and Spicerhaart, said: "The team goes from strength to strength and their results speak for themselves.

"In a market where the estate agency market has been struggling at times, to continue to grow our mortgage arm is testament to the quality of brokers and staff throughout Just Mortgages."
