Serenity FP positions itself for growth

Serenity Financial Planning has appointed one of its financial planners to help run the business as it looks to grow.

Clive Thompson has been appointed head of business standards and will be responsible for making sure Serenity runs efficiently on a day-to-day basis.

Serenity's founder, Tina Weeks, said this would free her up to focus on growing the business and implementing her growth plans, though she said she could not comment on the specifics of these yet.

Ms Weeks said: "With the growth we’re seeing we knew we needed someone who would keep the business running smoothly for our staff and clients, essentially someone who makes sure the trains run on time for us.

"I’ve worked with Clive for some time and I have no doubt that with his skills, he’s absolutely the person for this job."

Mr Thompson joined Serenity in 2009 and before that ran two small IFA practices in Lincoln. He will now be responsible for the profit and loss results, executing the business plan and holding the leadership team accountable.

He will continue with work with a select number of his clients as a financial adviser.

Mr Thompson said: "Having worked closely with the leadership team at Serenity for the last three years, it was apparent that the business needed someone to focus on the essential functions that lie behind the work we do with our clients.

"We offer a first-class client experience and so it’s important that everything we do behind the scenes works to deliver that. I was thrilled to be offered the opportunity to take on the role."
