Brown Shipley bolsters client team

Wealth management firm Brown Shipley has strengthened its sales team in the north west with the appointment of Lee Ramsden to its Manchester office.

Mr Ramsden joined the firm as client director, with responsibility for developing new client relationships.

Mr Ramsden has more than 13 years of experience in the sector and joins Brown Shipley from Barclays Wealth, where during a six-year stint he was a private banker and wealth planner focusing on high-net-worth clients.

Prior to Barclays, he had worked for Lloyds Bank and Towry.

Jonathan Sherlock, head of the Manchester office at Brown Shipley, said: "Lee is an experienced and proven wealth management professional with a wide range of skills.

"I look forward to working with him as he seeks to develop new client relationships and further expand our client base across the north west."

Mr Ramsden said: "I am excited to be joining Brown Shipley at the beginning of what looks to be an exciting year of continued growth for the business.

"I look forward to working with the rest of the team and continuing to provide an excellent, fully integrated wealth management service to clients."

Brown Shipley has made several appointments in recent months. In early January, Richard McGregor joined from Arbuthnot Latham as the company's first national head of court of protection.

And in September, Paul Smith joined from Mazars as a client director.
