M&G buys Ascentric & fake FCA emails: the week in news

Compliance service ThreeSixty told FTAdviser a large number of their clients had received the email and advised IFAs to delete the message.

5 Carry On CPD

The FCA will allow advisers in “exceptional circumstances” to carry over any uncompleted CPD hours to the next CPD year due to the coronavirus crisis, it announced this week.

Such circumstances include individuals who need to carry out extra duties at the firm, those who have caring responsibilities or advisers who experience practical difficulties accessing CPD content.

Firms who decide to carry over hours should record their decision, taking into account the reasons for the carryover and the adviser’s role and responsibilities, but do not need to report this to the FCA.
