FTAdviser named trade title of the year at PFS awards

FTAdviser and Financial Adviser have won the Trade Press Personal Finance Publication of the Year title for the second year running at the Personal Finance Society awards.

At the virtual ceremony last night (November 4) Carmen Reichman, news editor at FTAdviser and Financial Adviser, was also highly commended in the Personal Finance Consumer Champion category for her work on pension scammers. 

Simoney Kyriakou, editor of Financial Adviser, was highly commended in this year's Trade Press Personal Finance Journalist of the year category. 

The media awards were judged by Gemma Siddle, director of Eldon Financial Planning and winner of the PFS’s Chartered Financial Planner of the Year Award in 2019, John White, chief executive of Sanlam Wealth Management, David Andrews and Keith Richards, chief executive of the PFS. 

Mr Richards said: "The Personal Finance Society Media Awards applaud editorial excellence in the coverage of financial services.

"The winning journalists and publications thoroughly researched important topics to delivered balanced and informative articles to assist their readership during a time of unprecedented change due to Covid-19.

"I applaud the journalists and publications for educating and helping their readers to improve their financial resilience during these challenging times."

Financial advisers were also recognised at the awards, which were hosted online by Catchphrase presenter Stephen Mulhern. 

Mr Richards said the winners had contributed "outstanding achievements and excellent work during these challenging times”.
