Schroders Personal Wealth looks to SJP for CIO appointment
Alan Goodman will join Schroders Personal Wealth this month.

Schroders Personal Wealth has appointed Alan Goodman as it chief investment officer.

Goodman joins Schroders from St James’s Place where he was director for private markets and alternatives. He previously held senior positions at BNY Mellon and Invesco.

At Schroders, Goodman will be responsible for leading the investment strategy as well as overseeing portfolio and risk management. 

He said: “SPW’s client centric approach and commitment to provide more advice to more people resonates strongly with me and I am looking forward to working with the team to achieve this.”

The company said Goodman will “play a critical role” in driving innovation.

He is set to join SPW this month and will report to Dominic Sheridan, chief executive of the company’s Authorised Corporate Director (ACD) business.

Sheridan said: “Alan is a highly experienced and respected investment professional who will help us to continue to deliver on our commitment of providing high quality investment solutions to our clients.”

SPW is a joint venture between Lloyds Banking Group and Schroders set up in 2019.
