BRI Wealth Management has bought Worcestershire-based advice firm Singular Financial Planning.

The deal sees BRI Wealth Management add £30mn of assets under management and further solidifies its position in the Midlands.

Stuart Jefferies, chartered financial planner and director of Singular Financial Planning, said: “We have taken some considerable time looking for a suitable firm to look after our clients in the future.

“BRI is one of the very few we met and felt happy with. I have every confidence that BRI will deliver a high-quality service to my clients and that they will be looked after very well.”

The deal follows BRI’s purchase of Bransford Financial Planning in January which brought an additional £25mn of assets under management.

Our focus continues to remain on being the best and not the biggestDan Boardman-Weston, BRI Wealth Management

Dan Boardman-Weston, chief executive at BRI Wealth Management, said: “I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Stuart Jefferies over the last year and have great admiration for his skill as a financial planner and the service that he provides to his clients.

“We are committed to maintaining the high standard of service and professionalism that his clients have come to expect.”

So far this year, BRI has expanded its team by bringing on board two financial planners - Mark Davis, formerly of Bransford, and Laura Ripley.

BRI said it was committed to attracting top talent and continues to actively search for financial planners, paraplanners and administrative staff to support its expanding operations.

The past few months has also seen Nick Sinclair-Wilson join the board as client services director.

Boardman-Weston said: “Our offering and long-term orientation is resonating with clients, potential employees and advisers looking to retire from the industry.

"Market conditions have been challenging but we continue to invest in our business to help the increasing number of people that require professional financial advice."

According to Boardman-Weston, BRI has continued to go from strength to strength.

He added: "Our recent acquisitions and expanded team put us firmly on track to becoming the leading regional wealth manager and moving our assets under management to £1bn over the next few years.

"However, our focus continues to remain on being the best and not the biggest.”
