The Verve Foundation will re-run its Adviser Incubator initiative with four cohorts in 2024, following the launch of the scheme last year.

Applications for the next cohort open today (January 3) and close on January 17, with the initiative starting at the end of the month.

The programme comprises weekly core sessions covering business planning and regulatory considerations with additional sessions on cyber security and regular mentoring.

The Verve Foundation runs a number of initiatives aimed at improving some of the challenges in financial services.

Supported by partners Royal London and Parmenion, the Adviser Incubator will run two different options depending on what stage the business is at.

The full 12-week programme, which is free of charge, is designed for those who are already authorised or in the process of obtaining authorisation - this covers both direct authorisation and appointed representatives.

While the mini seven-week programme is for those looking to set up their own business and want to know more about their options.

Those on this programme will be invited to join the full 12-week cohort once they are ready to launch their business.

Hayley Rabbet, head of The Verve Foundation, said: “Following the huge success of the programme during its first year, we’re delighted to be returning this year with even more opportunities to support new and early-stage advice businesses.

“We can’t thank our partners Royal London & Parmenion enough for their continued support. They backed us right from the idea stage right the way through to three successful cohorts. We’re super excited to be working with them again this year.”

In August 2023, The Verve Foundation announced it was partnering with the Nucleus Foundation to support an initial cohort of 10 women and provide them with the training and qualifications to start a career in financial advice.

The programme is aimed at attracting and training more women so that they can consider a career in the industry.
