SimplyBiz is extending its technology offering to provide its member firms with complimentary access to Defaqto’s newly enhanced “Engage” solution.

The financial planning system will “significantly” upgrade the current solution available to SimplyBiz members, Centra, with all previously standalone modules now included in a single license.

This delivers a single, comprehensive package for every SimplyBiz member firm, the firm said.

Fintel and SimplyBiz joint CEO, Neil Stevens, said: “The upgrade to Engage delivers the UK’s most comprehensive and connected suite of advice solutions available to our members.”

He added this will enable SimplyBiz to help firms give more advice to more clients, with more client engagement.

“This ensures they can continue to deliver the best possible outcome for each individual client,” Stevens stated.

The end-to-end system, which is used by a third of UK advisers, features cash flow planning, client risk and ESG, and portfolio research.

The system also involves retirement income and pension switching, and a full suite of suitability reports.

This expansion follows SimplyBiz offering other support for advisers through the launch of “MyLearning Academy”, an online learning portal which can enhance the qualifications of advisers.

This academy, which was made available in February of this year, offers support on a range of qualifications from Cemap 1 to AF5 as well as qualifications from institutions such as the Chartered Insurance Institute and the London Institute of Banking & Finance.
