At Royal London Asset Management’s annual six-a-side cricket tournament at the Oval earlier this month – which boasted a staff member from Financial Adviser in the press team – participants were given a box, which came in a box with the inscription, “Royal London: protecting your assets since 1861.”
Sadly, while assets were indeed well protected, the press team’s wickets were more vulnerable and the team came in a miserable last place in the tournament.
