Stonebridge adds another AR as part of recruitment drive

Mortgage and insurance network Stonebridge Group has recruited Midlands-based advisory practice Green and Co. Financial Services as an appointed representative firm.

Green and Co is part of independent estate and lettings agent Group, Green and Co, which has over 20 years’ experience in property market of Sutton Coldfield and its surrounding areas.

The firm also has sales offices in Boldmere, Castle Bromwich, Four Oaks, Great Barr, Tamworth and Walmley, with seven mortgage and protection advisers joining the network with immediate effect.

Last month the Stonebridge Group announced that Shepherd Direct - the national property services group with interests in surveying, valuations, lettings and estate agency - had acquired a minority stake in the business.

The investment is being used to enhance Stonebridge’s financial strength and give it the ability to make further improvements to its proposition.

Richard Adams, managing director at Stonebridge, commented that as they bring in new AR firms, in order to maintain standards, they are investing heavily in the head-office support structure as well as in compliance, business development, technology and marketing.

“With our investment and relationship with Shepherd Direct we are now moving quickly in terms of network growth, while ensuring the USPs that have made Stonebridge successful over the past 25 years are retained, honed and grown.”

During June alone, Stonebridge added Derbyshire-based Crystal Clear Financial Planning and Northern Irish brokers The Mortgage Shop and Ulster Property Sales to the network.

Earlier in the year, the group revealed that during 2014 it increased the number of advisers by 22 per cent - representing 51 ARs - year-on-year, according to an independent review.
