The F&C Capital and Income Investment trust is to issue 100,000 ordinary shares for 261.60p each.

The shares, which have come from the company’s corporate blocklisting facility for 25p each, will be offered at the same rate as existing shares in issue, and trading is expected to start tomorrow (14 April).

In light of this, the company will be able to issue 6,844,000 ordinary shares under its blocklisting facility.

This means the total number of ordinary shares in issue will stand at 96,059,268.

According to F&C, this figure can be used by shareholders to determine if they need to announce their interest in the trust under the Financial Conduct Authority’s disclosure and transparency rules.

Last year, F&C Asset Management confirmed its plans to adopt its parent company’s name, BMO Global Asset Management.
