BlackRock’s multi-asset manager Colin Graham has left BlackRock’s multi-asset team after 16 years.

Mr Graham was co-manager on the £234m BlackRock Balanced Growth fund and the £11m BlackRock Active Managed fund. He will be replaced by Philip Brides as co-manager alongside Andy Warwick.

A spokesperson for BlackRock said: “Philip’s appointment follows the decision of Colin Graham to step down from his position as senior portfolio manager within the Multi-Asset Portfolio Strategies team after 16 years, to pursue other career opportunities.

“Colin will act as an adviser to Philip and the team until the end of April 2013 to ensure an orderly transition of his responsibilities.”

The Balanced Growth fund’s five-year return of 20.9 per cent ranked it in the bottom quartile of the IMA Mixed Investment 40-85% Shares sector. The Active Managed fund also ranked in the bottom quartile in the IMA Flexible Investment sector in the same period.
