Roger Edwards and Neil Cameron say there are many converts in the financial services industry who realise the benefits of using Twitter to help their business, but many are still a little wary.

Twitter Guide for Financial Services Professionals, by the former colleagues at lifestyle protection group Bright Grey, has tips on how advisers can increase their number of followers, search for new connections and engage with potential clients.

Mr Edwards, now a marketing consultant, said: “We wanted to write a simple guide to encourage as many people as possible to get involved and join in.”

Chris Daems, director of London-based Principal Financial Solutions, said: “Roger Edwards and Neil Cameron are right. For me, the key to Twitter is using it not only to get your message out there but also to get more people to read your content.”
