According to Richard Killingbeck, chief executive of WH Ireland, the new Milton Keynes office will focus on discretionary and advisory fund management.

Its team will include Paul Wilson, formerly of Charles Stanley & Co, who has been appointed an investment director.

Mr Killingbeck, said: “This expansion is evidence of our growth initiatives in action - to extend our capability, and selectively add high quality individuals and teams - and follows the successful opening of our new Isle of Man office earlier in the year.”

He said the fact that these “these talented investment directors” had chosen WH Ireland to further develop their careers, was testament to the significant improvements to the business initiated over the past year, as well as the continuing change in the industry landscape.

He added: “They will significantly augment our funds under management over the next 12-18 months.”

Background

In February, WH Ireland opened its Isle of Man office.

It has also been boosting its regional offices. In March, it bolstered its Birmingham office (located on Waterloo Street) with Paul Smith and Hitesh Mistry, who have been made responsible for growing the office’s discretionary client base.

In July, WH Ireland made a series of hires to its London offices, when Vincent Ferguson, Martin Guilbert and Turon Miah joined as investment directors. They will shortly be joined by Andrew Little.
