Following on from Jeff Prestridge’s column ‘Bouyed up by three in a boat’ (FA 7 May), I will be deeply disappointed if the insurance industry does not do the right thing and step up their support for Disability Rights UK on an ongoing basis to raise awareness of these issues.
The 7 Families campaign has been said to be only the start. I hope that is true as a much louder voice needs to be given to what is needed for a civilised society. This goes well beyond what insurance alone can achieve, while insurance has a hugely bigger role than is currently being achieved.
Keep your eyes peeled for who will be chair of the All-Party Parliamentary group on Insurance and Financial services.
