Square Mile Investment Consulting & Research has added the MyFolio Managed range of funds to its recommended academy.
The research firm’s head of risk-based solutions Alex Farlow said they join the MyFolio Market and Multi-manager ranges, which were included in July 2014.
He told FTAdviser that the ratings were given to funds which are difficult to assess and differentiate between the skills of the underlying manager. “These funds are part of a strong overall risk targeted proposition offered by Standard Life.

“This includes the SLI Multi Asset Investment team, responsible for the successful Global Absolute Return Strategy product, which provides the tactical asset allocation overlay, and multi manager specialist, Bambos Hambi, who heads up the fund research and selection process.”

Alex Reynolds, an adviser at Advies Private Clients, said the MyFolio Managed range is popular with his peers. “I’m not surprised Square Mile have endorsed that and put them on the list, as they’ve been around for quite a few years.
“They are a good risk-managed fund and are very popular due to the fact that they have different risk bands, so this comes as no surprise.”
