Cazenove Capital announces new wealth director

Cazenove Capital has today (27 October) appointed Bob Hair as a wealth planning director and head of the Edinburgh office.

Mr Hair will join the company on 31 October and will be based in the Scottish capital.

He will be responsible for the management of the office and provide investment structuring and tax-efficient investment advice for clients.

William Fox, head of UK regional private wealth management, said: “He has extensive experience and knowledge and we believe he will be invaluable in continuing to grow our wealth management business in Scotland, providing overall wealth management services to clients including both portfolio management and wealth planning."

Mr Hair joins from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a senior director in the investment advisory business, advising high net worth and ultra high net worth clients in London.

Mr Hair also acted as chairman of PwC's Financial Conduct Authority Committee, and was a member of the investment committee.

He had a lead role in developing the firm's PwC private and family office service.

Before his role at PwC, Mr Hair was with Turcan Connell, an Edinburgh-based multi-disciplinary private client firm, where he headed the wealth management function, and was a member of the executive board and the firm’s investment committee.
