The head of asset allocation at Columbia Threadneedle Investments has left the business.

Toby Nangle, who was also head of multi-asset at the group, has been at the company for 10 years and has led the EMEA-based multi-asset team since he joined.

A spokesperson for the company said Nangle has decided to have a change in his career.

Nangle will be replaced by the head of multi-asset at BMO Global Asset Management, Paul Niven.

BMO GAM was acquired by Columbia Threadneedle last year.

Niven will become head of asset allocation, EMEA, with responsibility for asset allocation teams and strategies in the region.

The company is in the process of recruiting a portfolio manager for the Columbia Threadneedle Dynamic Real Return strategy, as well as other mutli-asset portfolios.

Last week the head of UK and European distribution at BMO GAM left the firm.

Rob Thorpe is currently on gardening leave after eight years with the company.
