Invesco Perpetual has promoted Matthew Perowne to co-manager alongside Adrian Bignell on the £176m Invesco Perpetual European Smaller Companies fund.
From March 31, Mr Perowne will become co-manager on the fund with Mr Bignell remaining lead manager.
The pair have worked together on the £104m European Opportunities fund in the same format since December 2015. Invesco said the addition of Mr Perowne to the team would not change the fund’s investment process, but it was expected to “broaden the range of investment ideas”.
Jeff Taylor, head of European Equities at Invesco Perpetual, said: “Adrian and Matthew have a proven working relationship and this move looks to build on their effective collaboration.”
Mr Perowne joined Invesco Perpetual as a trainee analyst in its European Equities team in 2010 and first took on fund management responsibilities in 2014.
