FE launches one-stop-shop for investment advisers

Financial advisers can now view asset manager research and fund data in one place using new online service FE Connect.

Advisers will be able to access content from asset managers as well as relevant fund factsheets using the FE Trustnet website and the FE Analytics research tool.

They will also be able to rate the content that is provided.

Asset managers already signed up to FE Connect include: BNY Mellon, Columbia Threadneedle, ETF Securities, Fidelity, Henderson, M&G, Neptune, Royal London Asset Management and T. Rowe Price.

“FE is able to help us connect and provide fund research and other valuable insights directly to the adviser base via this service, thereby adding value to our business and enabling advisers to make better investment decisions,” said Jemma Gosling, head of programme management at BNY Mellon.

Gary Wheeler, sales director at FE, said: “For advisers, trawling through asset managers’ websites for individual insights and research adds significant time to the fund selection journey.

"FE Connect effectively removes these roadblocks by organising asset managers’ content so that it is available alongside fund data at the point of research within a market-leading platform.”

David Lamb, from Lamb & Associates Lifestyle Financial Planners, said that although he found FE's service was vital to monitor the performance of funds, he would not be interested in content from asset managers.

"We tend to use passive funds for our clients -we've seen a lot of fund managers promising to do all sorts of thing, but then they don't provide them," he said. "We are focussed on giving our clients somewhere to put money that outperforms inflation, and we monitor the performance of our funds for that."
