Platform use for financial advisers has burgeoned over the past 15 years, from the early days of the so-called fund supermarkets, to holistic, all-inclusive trading platforms as an adviser's one-stop-shop for clients.
But what sort of headwinds might there be for platform use? Will consolidation continue? Will advisers ditch the larger, unwieldy platforms and turn to smaller, more bespoke offerings? And what are the issues for advisers when it comes to moving platform providers?
