Sheikh emerges at Jupiter after JPM exit

Jupiter has appointed Talib Sheikh as head of multi-asset strategy, less than 24 hours after he resigned from his role as a fund manager at JP Morgan Asset Management.

Head of multi-asset is officially a new role at the fund house, but Miles Geldard, who had jointly run multi-asset funds at the firm and held the title of head of strategy, multi-asset, moved to the role of senior adviser to Jupiter last year.

Mr Geldard had worked at Jupiter in the multi-asset department for 34 years.

Katharine Dryer, head of investments for fixed income and multi asset, continues in her role.

Mr Sheikh had worked at JP Morgan Asset Management for twenty years. He had worked as joint manager on a range of equity funds, including the £968m JP Morgan Global Macro Opportunities fund.

Stephen Pearson, chief investment officer at Jupiter said: “We are delighted to have attracted someone of Talib’s calibre and look forward to his arrival at Jupiter. Talib’s skillset is perfectly aligned with our strategic initiative to expand our international footprint in the Multi-Asset area, and he is well placed to spearhead this.”
