Understanding members' needs when it comes to master trusts

I should start this article by declaring my potential conflicts of interest and biases along with some caveats. I am currently chairman of trustees at two master trusts (MTs): autoenrollment.co.uk MT (commonly referred to as Smart) and Lewis MT. I am also chairman of a stand-alone defined contribution (DC) scheme and a defined benefit (DB) scheme. I hold all of these positions via Capital Cranfield Trustees Limited (CCTL), but the opinions I express in this article are mine rather than those of CCTL or any other of my fellow trustees.
