LSL Property Services appoints CEO

LSL has appointed David Stewart as group chief executive officer following the departure of Ian Crabb.

Mr Stewart was a non-executive director, having joined the board in May 2015, and also serves as a board director at Brooks Macdonald, which he resigned from with effect from July 30, 2020.

He previously served as chief executive of Coventry Building Society between July 2006 and March 2014.

Mr Stewart said: "I'm delighted to lead LSL. We have a significant opportunity to grow our financial services business and to capitalise on leading positions in estate agency and surveying.

"I look forward to working with an outstanding management team to realise the group's potential and deal effectively with the impact of the Covid-19 virus."

Simon Embley, non executive chairman of LSL, said: "David is an experienced chief executive, with a track record of success both in growing businesses and in managing during periods of uncertainty.

"His detailed knowledge of financial services will be invaluable as we seek to continue to build our capability in this sector, whilst maximising the potential of our estate agency and surveying operations."

LSL provides residential property services including estate agency, financial services and surveying and valuation services.

Its services to consumers include residential sales and lettings, while to mortgage lenders they include valuations and panel management services.
