Hodge launches broker portal

Specialist lender Hodge has launched a broker portal, which will enable intermediaries to place and manage all mortgage cases for residential, retirement and holiday let products online.

Mark Evans, chief technology officer at Hodge described the launch as a “significant step forward for Hodge, with the portal being central in allowing intermediaries to access our products and services in an easy and convenient fashion.”

The portal, alongside the lender’s relaunched intermediary website, will enable brokers to complete a range of tasks such as obtain decisions in principle, speak directly to underwriters, and access key documents in a format that can be shared with customers.

It comes after last month Hodge resumed accepting applications for new purchases of up to 60 per cent LTV, and lifted the restriction of only accepting like-for-like remortgages.

The lender says its intermediaries website now also offers criteria search, mortgage calculators and an in-built live chat function.

Greg Cunnington, director of lender relationships and new homes at Alexander Hall, said: “By making the processing of the applications quicker and slicker this gives more time for advisers to do what they do best, building rapport with clients and giving bespoke advice.

“It’s also great to see a lender continue to innovate and introduce enhancements such as these in the current climate. This shows support for their intermediary partners, and ultimately ensures more options and better outcomes for our clients.”
