Lender extends mortgage prize draw to adviser clients

Halifax has extended its mortgage prize draw to borrowers who took out a mortgage through its intermediary brand.

Halifax Intermediaries mortgage customers can enter the monthly prize draw, which offers to pay off one winner’s mortgage up to £300,000, as well as cash prizes of £1,000.

Customers must be up-to-date with their mortgage repayments to be eligible to register for the draw. They must also pay in at least £1,500 into a Halifax or Bank of Scotland current account in the month before the draw.

Clients whose property is, or will be, let to tenants do not qualify.

Ian Wilson, head of Halifax Intermediaries, said: "We are constantly looking at how we continue to support the intermediary market and giving customers the opportunity to enter our prize draw is an extra way that we can add value for mortgage customers backed by our commitment to the excellent service upon which intermediaries can depend".

Launched in November 2018, the prize draw is free to enter, and borrowers can win more than once.

The prize of having a Halifax mortgage paid off will be made directly to the customer’s mortgage account, with any early repayment charges waived.
