HMRC clarifies guidance on in-specie tax relief

HMRC said it is continuing to review in-specie cases for those who have claimed and received relief.  

Mr Baber warned this could see many providers face large bills.

Mr Baber said: “If HMRC revisit this then some pension providers could face large tax relief claw backs that they will find hard to pass onto the original client without complaints being made for compensation.”
