Westbridge Ssas poaches account manager from advice firm

Provider Westbridge Ssas has appointed Michelle Brennan as a senior account manager after poaching her from advice firm Rowley Turton.

Ms Brennan joins the provider from her role as administrator at Rowley Turton which saw her assist in preparing clients’ annual portfolio reviews.

She brings 20 years of experience in financial services and specialist pension solutions.

Prior to her role at Rowley Turton she held various positions as administrator, operations manager and team leader.

She has worked for independent financial advisers, mortgage brokers, and a self-invested personal pension provider.

Nathan Bridgeman, founder and director of Westbridge Ssas, said: “We are delighted to bring Michelle onboard and offer our unique fee model and customer experience to our growing number of introducers.

“Michelle’s proven delivery in this space and desire to help Westbridge to become the UK’s leading Ssas provider is a major coup for our business.”

Ms Brennan added: “I’m passionate about Ssas and delivering outstanding service to advisers and their clients.

“The SSAS market is ripe for disruption with many providers relying on paper and pen processes and delivering a service and fee model which hasn’t changed in decades.”

In October last year, Obsidian Ssas rebranded to WestBridge Ssas following a restructure of the business.

WestBridge Group is made up of three subsidiaries - Westbridge Ssas, Westbridge Tax and Westbridge Trustees Ltd.

The shake up of the business comes after the provider saw a “substantial increase” in Ssas switches, experiencing a 20 per cent increase in June 2020 alone.
