The Woodford Equity Income has been added to James Hay Partnership’s retirement platform, taking the number of funds available to self-invested pension investors to over 3,000.

The Woodford Equity Income fund is the latest to go live on the company’s fund range, called the Investment Centre.

Woodford’s fund is available on James Hay Partnership at 0.75 per cent, meaning the company was not given access to the ‘Z’ share class offered to Standard Life and Skandia.

This means for a “typical James Hay client” paying a platform fee of 0.18 per cent the total charge is 0.93 per cent, which the firm described as “one of the most cost effective overall charges available”.

Chris Smeaton, director of marketing said: “The adviser demand for Neil Woodford’s fund was unprecedented.

“However, we’re pleased to be able to respond to adviser demand and offer his fund at some of the best rates available in the market.”
