What with the retail distribution review and pension freedoms, financial advisers have become more interesting to the outside world, to such a degree that they are deemed worthy of academic research.

A PhD student is going to study them to examine the relationship of trust between the lesser-spotted IFA and his client. Adam Poole, based at Cardiff University, is asking advisers to get in touch to take part, which will involve their being sent a questionnaire.

Anyone interested should contact Mr Poole by email at pooleac@cardiff.ac.uk, and there will be a chance to win some Amazon and M&S vouchers.
