Later-life lending platform Air has partnered with New Leaf Distribution to boost the mortgage and protection network’s tech offering to advisers.

Through the partnership, New Leaf Distribution’s intermediary members will gain access to Air’s online adviser support system, WriteRoute.

New Leaf Distribution was one of the first networks to trail WriteRoute when it was introduced to the market and said it has already made extensive use of the tool.

The package encompasses a wealth of financial and data admin tools in one platform, including market-leading fact-find, suitability reporting, product sourcing, and KFI generation.

Air CEO, Paul Glynn, said: “Our partnership with New Leaf Distribution is the latest step in our long-term strategy to equip all advisers with the best tools on the market.”

Additionally, New Leaf Distribution will roll out Air’s Sourcing Navigator Tool to its adviser membership.

The Navigator Tool puts affordability “front and centre” in the advice process by advising on all later-life lending products available.

In keeping with consumer duty requirements, this will ensure that New Leaf Distribution’s member intermediaries have all the necessary information at their fingertips to source the best customer outcomes.

Glynn added: “Our WriteRoute and Navigator tools are designed to help advisers match customers to a wide range of affordable product options that are tailored to the customer’s individual needs.

“As our partnership evolves, we look forward to tweaking our offering in line with shifting market conditions to ensure advisers can streamline processes and focus on doing what they do best: delivering excellent outcomes for their clients.”

FCA review

In September, the Financial Conduct Authority published a review of firms responsible for lifetime mortgage sales, and the regulator said it will continue to closely monitor the later-life lending market.

Air has stated it will continue to develop and refine these tech tools using feedback and support members and partners, adding further product categories as new variants are launched by lenders.

Additionally, New Leaf Distribution principal and founder, Mark Hobbs, stated that following the FCA review, it’s “vital” that advisers can access the most advanced technology possible, and that New Leaf Distribution is “dedicated” to making that happen.

“A world-class equity release process is of the utmost importance to our members and their clients,” Hobbs added.

“As such, our team is thrilled to be one of the earliest adopters of Air’s WriteRoute support system to our advisers, improving their access to market-leading fact-find tools and streamlining their mortgage journey for their clients.

“We are also delighted to endorse the Navigator Tool, an incredible resource for advisers who are committed to having the most comprehensive conversations with clients.”

New Leaf Distribution is a highly diversified network covering all areas of mortgage and protection advice, as well as full wealth and pensions permissions.
