In an email to members yesterday (March 6), seen by FTAdviser, the CII said a number of services will be unavailable during the four days.
The CII has recommended that members consider submitting coursework assignments in good time, as well as booking exams sooner than normal as some may be booked out and ensuring SPS renewals are logged before March 8.
However, it said it will work with members to extend coursework deadlines.
The CII’s customer service telephone lines will also be closed during the transition, though it will be able to respond to emails that do not require system access.
The institute is implementing a new communications platform, including a new customer and member relationship management system as part of planned system upgrades.
Members will be automatically enrolled or re-enrolled in The Journal, CPD and Local Institute communications which are considered core to their membership.
Those wishing to not receive these communications will be able to unsubscribe after the system migrations.
The overall transition will take place between March 8th and 19th.
The systems that will be unavailable between March 10th and 14th include:
In December, the CII announced it was pushing back the date of its system upgrades by one month to March 2023.
It first advised customers and members in November of its intention to transition to a new relationship management system, which was due to take place in late January and early February 2023.
This was part of its “commitment to improving the way we deliver value for our members and learners”.
It said initially there would be minimal changes in the way members engage with the CII through their dashboard but in the longer term the transition would enable it to offer more streamlined, tailored communications and relevant CPD programmes.
