Scottish Widows has made a further upgrade to its adviser platform which is says should reduce the risk of errors for advisers.

Financial modelling software Voyant is now integrated into the Scottish Widows Platform.

It should allow advisers to use real-time platform data meaning they will not have to re-enter information manually.

The software will be available to the 9,000 advisers and 4,000 firms who already use Voyant.

David Kaufman, CEO of Voyant, said: “This will allow both advisers and paraplanners using our software to benefit from the real-time data provided by the platform, speeding up processes and eliminating the need to manually rekey data.”

It comes after the platform announced it had teamed up with the Origo Integration Hub to implement new customer relationship management systems.

The platform was rebranded from Embark in July and Scottish Widows said it is investing in it to make it “one of the most connected in the market”.

Ross Easton, head of platform proposition at Scottish Widows, said: “A key pillar of our proposition is to continuously evolve the platform to ensure advisers and paraplanners have access to the best tech.

“Our integration with Voyant delivers on that promise. In particular, the access to real-time data from our platform will save advisers time that they can use to deliver more value for their clients.

“We’re continuing to explore ways to expand the range of connections adviser teams have as part of our ongoing development. Ultimately, we want to be indisputably the easiest platform for advisers to do business on.”
