Financial planner joins Clifton Wealth

Clifton Wealth Partnership has continued its growth strategy with the addition of Hunt Financial Planning as an appointed representative (AR) firm.

Hunt Financial Planning, managed by Chris Hunt, specialises in portfolio and estate management for individuals and business owners.

It also works alongside professional practices in the accountancy and legal sectors.

Clifton's group financial planning and business development director, Anthony Carty, said: “Chris has developed a great business offering trusted holistic financial planning to his considerable client base. We are thrilled he has chosen CWP to help him further develop & grow his business.”

He added: “We are actively seeking acquisition targets as well as the ARs with the right synergies. Chris is the most recent to come on board and represents a great fit for us as he matches his ambitions for his business with the Clifton Wealth Partnership proposition.”

Clifton has a “hybrid growth strategy”, which includes both acquisitions and AR appointments.

Hunt Financial Planning is the second AR appointment the firm has made, following the first purchase and AR appointment in 2019.

Clifton said it is looking to finalise two further acquisitions in the first half of 2021 and is reviewing a further two AR appointments.

The firm told FTAdviser there are a total of 15 deals in various stages of due diligence.

By becoming an AR, Hunt Financial Planning will gain access to Clifton’s centralised investment proposition (CIP), which includes its discretionary fund manager Eden Park Investment Management and the investment platform Viewpoint Portfolio.
